Luxe Detail Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides mobile car-detailing and related services in New Zealand.

We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles (IPPs).
1. Personal information we collect
Contact + booking details: name, phone, email, suburb/postcode, preferred date/time, vehicle details, service selections, notes you provide.
Communication records: emails, texts, call recordings/voicemails (if enabled), and messages sent through our website, Meta/Google lead forms, or chat widgets.
Transaction details: invoices, payments, quotes, job history, warranty registrations.Website/ads data: device/browser info, IP address, pages viewed, form interactions, cookies/analytics (see Cookies).
Photos/media: before/after images of vehicles (only with your consent for marketing).
2. How we collect it
Directly from you (website/lead forms, email, phone, in person).
Automatically via our site and ad platforms (cookies, pixels, analytics).
From third-party tools we use to run the business (e.g., booking, payments, email, analytics/ads).
3. Why we collect and use it
We use your information to:
Provide quotes, schedule jobs, deliver services, send confirmations and updates.
Take payment, issue invoices, manage warranties and service records.
Respond to enquiries and provide customer support.
Improve our services, website, and advertising effectiveness.
Send optional service reminders, offers, and updates (you can opt out anytime).
Meet our legal obligations (e.g., record-keeping, responding to access/correction requests).
We collect only what is reasonably necessary for these purposes.
4. Disclosing your information
We may share personal information with trusted service providers (data “processors”) who help us operate, for example:
website/hosting and IT support, booking or CRM tools, email/SMS providers, payment processors, analytics and advertising platforms (e.g., Google, Meta).These providers may be located outside New Zealand. When we disclose information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient is subject to comparable safeguards or we use appropriate safeguards/contractual protections (see Cross-border transfers below).
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, and property.
5. Cross-border transfers
If we disclose personal information to organisations outside New Zealand, we will do so in line with Privacy Act 2020 – Principle 12 (disclosure outside NZ). This includes taking reasonable steps to ensure the overseas recipient is subject to comparable privacy protections or obtaining your express authorisation after informing you of any risks.
6. Marketing communicationsIf you give us your contact details, we may send service updates, reminders, or promotions. You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link in emails or by contacting us.
7. Cookies, analytics, and ads
Our site and ads may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to:
remember preferences and improve site performance;
measure website use (e.g., Google Analytics);
deliver and measure ads (e.g., Google Ads, Meta).

8. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, and to meet legal/accounting requirements. When no longer required, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or anonymise it.

We use reasonable safeguards (technical, organisational, and physical) to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, use, modification, or disclosure. However, no method is 100% secure. If a privacy breach occurs that is likely to cause serious harm, we will assess and notify affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner as required.
10. Your rights
You have the right to request access to personal information we hold about you and to request correction if it is inaccurate or incomplete. If we do not agree to a correction, you can ask us to attach a statement of correction to our record. Our services are intended for adults. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will delete it where appropriate.
12. Third-party links
Our site may link to other websites. Their privacy practices are not covered by this policy.
